• list multiples of numbers and find the lowest common multiple of a group of numbers
• list factors of numbers and find the highest common factor of a group of numbers
• use some tests of divisibility to assist in finding factors
• identify prime and composite numbers
• use a factor tree to find the prime factors of a number
• deal with simple number patterns
• find whole number powers of a number as well as square root and cube root
• express natural numbers base 10 in binary form
• add and multiply natural numbers in binary form.
